Veneer and Velvet's relationship is an ironic juxtaposition to the Trolls. While the Trolls help their siblings with love and care despite their previous separations to lift one another up in the end, Veneer gets metaphorically and literally dragged down by his troll. we’ve all known since the first movie that these characters all very queer code. like. singing i’m coming out while their hair is rainbow? that’s not cisgender heterosexual behavior. but what if i told you that some of the characters have actually been confirmed or strongly hunter to not be straight?. Now, wearing one earring on the right ear is an obvious reference to how some gay men in real life would wear it as a signal/symbol for their homosexuality.
And to back this up even more that these are blatant choices to gay these characters as gay, Veneer is the exact same scenario. Veneer and Floyd also both have the “gay earring”; where a gay guy might wear a single earring on the right ear to indicate it. Tl;dr please respect the fact that Floyd is canonically gay and stop trying to ship the ONE canon gay member of brozone with women. The incident that prompts the brothers to reunite is that present-day Floyd has been taken by a Ryan-and-Sharpay-esque musical duo named Velvet and Veneer.
